Job Nexus India is hiring a Data Analyst Intern for a finance and technology-driven organization. This is a high-impact internship designed for candidates passionate about quantitative analysis, financial markets, and real-world data engineering. This role focuses on real analytical work – not routine data entry.
Role Overview
As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work closely with a quantitative research and trading team. You will develop production-level code to process financial data, backtest trading strategies, automate reports, and build dashboards used in real decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Processing
- Build and maintain data pipelines for financial market data
- Collect, clean, and store datasets such as stock prices, options data, and macroeconomic indicators
Strategy Analysis & Backtesting
- Backtest trading strategies using Python
- Calculate performance metrics like P&L, drawdown, and Sharpe ratio
Dashboarding & Visualization
- Develop real-time dashboards using Streamlit or Dash
- Visualize market signals and strategy outputs for stakeholders
Automation & Reporting
- Automate daily reports and data briefings
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of automated workflows
Eligibility & Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy)
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Comfortable using Slack & Zoom for daily communication
- Available for full-time commitment during market hours
- Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative analysis
- Familiarity with order flow analysis is a plus
